Who Are We to Judge?

No matter who marries who, who dates who, what flag flies or not, what laws pass or not, we are NOT THEEEEEEEEEEE judge of it all. We won’t have the final say of it all. As far as our children, we can only tell them what’s right and wrong AND talk to them about what IS happening in society so they will understand it when they see and/or hear about things but some things we can’t and never will change.
Am I all bent out of shape about the ruling? Nope! Am I surprised? Nope! Is this THE worst thing that can happen? Nope! Things like this are always precursors to something else. My grandfather used to say, listen for conclusions. Back then we didn’t understand. But he was right. All we can do is pray and try to be aware because awareness is needed. Education is needed. I’m not saying everyone should NOW go to college. I’m saying stay current and informed and keep your children informed. But more than anything being prayerful and being careful not to judge people because of their choices. That’s one thing we all must be careful about.
Being bias or prejudiced is easy when you aren’t open minded. It’s easy to call people of other races biased or prejudice. However, you can be that way to your own race, even your own relatives when their choices aren’t as your own. The choices of others don’t bother me simply because they aren’t MINE. It’s not my business. My views are different on things of this nature from the average. It doesn’t mean I don’t believe in right and wrong. It means I don’t have a heaven or hell to put anyone in and none of us are perfect. I can’t change anyone’s views or choices but my own! It’s as simple as that. It’s all about unconditional positive regard.
