We often overlook the small things in our lives, as society places so much emphasis on larger things, the shimmery, classy things in life. Nice things are NICE. Yet they do not make us who we are as people. They earn us nothing as far as adding to our character and who we are deep, down inside, where material things do not matter. Our hearts and souls matter. We can have all the money in the world, all of the most fashionable clothes, the best of cars and yet be lonely, crappy, and have a terrible personality. The small things such as a warm smile, helping someone that needs a shoulder to cry on or an attentive ear, or simply just being a trustworthy person…these are the things that matter in life. Focus on who you are INSIDE versus how you WANT others to THINK you are. You know who you are and even when you lie and fake, you YET HAVE to deal with who you really are, at the end of the day, when you lie down to rest, you have to deal with all of the lies, the backstabbing, the pain inflicted upon others. So, instead of relishing in foolery, take time to reflect on the small things in your life and count your blessings for them. You are who you are because of GOD. It is nothing YOU did to become who you are. So how about thanking Him instead of being ignorant? #RealTalk, #KeepIt100 ((clg, 1-28-2013) =)
